The sneeze

When I sneezed it fell out of my nose. My sneeze fell out of my nose and it ran. It ran and it ran. I was trying to catch my sneeze. It was running to get out.

Welcome to Term 2

This term has started very well. We have four new children in our class, Summer, Jax, Karli and Indiana. They have settled very well and have become a part of Room 2.

We worked on Measurement today and a number of children decided that it would be a good idea to measure the width of the classroom using Unifix blocks. They worked together to complete the project and then we had to count the blocks. What a big job! We made it easier by grouping the blocks into tens and the end result was 404 blocks.

Room 2 Assembly

We presented a most successful assembly in Week 10. Congratulations to the presenters for doing your part so professionally, and to everyone for singing your 'Herman the Worm' song so well. I am so proud of all of you! Hope you are having a lovely holiday.

Easter Dinosaurs

We had so much fun making our dinosaurs for Easter. It was rather a strange thing to do, considering most people make bunnies. Room 2 decided to be different. We painted our plates in the colour of our choice and then folded the plates and they were stapled closed. We cut out the 'spikes' and glued them on and then the legs were added. It was fun to add the mouth and the other scales. Here are our dinosaurs:

Purple Day

Today we enjoyed a Purple Day at school. This was a fundraising effort to assist people with epilepsy. Many of the children in Room 2 wore purple to support this and they really looked so good. Well done and thank you for your support.

Life Education

What an exciting Week 4 we had. The Life Education team came to visit and we met Harold, the giraffe. We learnt a lot about Respect and being good friends. We watched a few really interesting videos which also showed us how to keep ourselves safe when riding bikes or scooters, and about caring for our friends.
